Re: [MBZ] It might rust but it's safe or is it?

Yeah but he is only referencing this
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/iihs_safest.html or are they
in league with kenny and it's all part of the big conspiracy that mao
keeps warning us about?

Overall, I don't respect this guy very much, or his opinion.

He's pretty hit and miss. I learned from him that a good workflow for
cheapskate photographers is to get a used SLR from the '70s with an
assortment of lenses (mine is a Canon AE-1), buy film in bulk, and get it
developed and scanned to CD at Costco. That's a good (and
counterintuitive) tip.

On the other hand, his comments about 4:3 vs 16:9 TV and the difference
between standard- and high-def are ludicrous:

BT Ken is wrong. My 86 had an airbag, and my 87s have one too.
that covers 126 and 124. I'm not sure if 86 or 87 201s had them or
not.That is 27 years, not 20.

"Airbags
Every car has airbags today. Every Mercedes has had them standard for
the past twenty years!
Ken is RIGHT, that a MB is the safest car. 210 may be the safest
car, but even a 110 is very advanced for its time."

BT Ken is wrong. My 86 had ABS, and my 87s have ABS too, as
does daughter's 85 gasser. that covers 107, 126 and 124. I'm not
sure if 86 or 85 201s had them or not. That is 27 or 28 years,
not 20. MB and Bosch developed ABS, and then gave away the
technology to all comers in the interest of highway safety.

"Antilock Brakes (ABS)
Also standard on Mercedes for the past twenty years, some cars today
still don't have them."

Over 25 is old enough to be registered as an antique or classic car
in quite a few states. That includes cars with airbags and ABS.
