Thanks Zach. Manual 4 speed for a 1972 220D w115 would fit the bill perfectly. I am going to see if Benz Friendz has run out. I sure hope not, but would be overjoyed to have one if you can spare one. I was startin' to get a little excited about that '73 220D until I read the part about the heater blower. I guess that's a small price to pay for a reasonably nice example if that's ALL it needed. Re: [MBZ] Kevin visits Seattle
Jimminy crickets, I had forgotten that was yours. That would be a good start for me. About all I remember from that car was dodging the wasps while trying to keep out of the coming rain. It may provide parts enough to rebuild one way or the other. I have had no luck at Benz Friendz. They seem to have closed up and are waiting for a scrap hauler to take what is left. Re: [MBZ] Kevin visits Seattle
It may be a great way to make them come down on price, where the car nice enough. Having to invest 10-20 hours to change out the part brings the value down a bunch for anybody who knows the model. A newbie would not have any idea and would pay top dollar.
