[MBZ] Klebby's new Chebby

2006-08-02 Thread Mitch Haley
Hey Kleb, I looked up Superchips programmers for your truck.
They claim 1-2mpg increase. The old 2705 seems to be going
for $400 or a little less, the new model 2805 a bit under $500.
Both programmers have three settings, safe tow, performance tow
(not for towing over 6k) and kiss your tires goodbye.
Both devices double as a code scanner.
With Fords, the hot tip for mpg seems to be using the safe tow
setting and driving with a light foot.

You gotta remember, though, on a truck like that 1-2 mpg is probably a
10% decrease in fuel consumption. At today's prices that's like getting
$0.30 off every gallon. If you drove 15K per year you'd pay it off in a
couple years.

If it really does what they say (a big if) it might be worth it.
Maybe not 'till after the warranty expires, tho.
