In the 60s when VW could only be bought on a waiting list, someone had little stick on signs for the WV switches that were metzgereddeutsche . They were funny. The only one I remember is the wiper switch label was "drizzleflippen" maybe 15 years ago at the Boone and Scenic Valley RR they had a sign in metzgereddeutsche for operating a locomotive. I bought a couple, then put them on the German Henschel locomotive operated by Midwest Central RR. It was hilarious to watch people read the signs. Wish I could remember how that one went. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post. 'Reminds me of a great little article by Art Buchwald probably 40 years or so ago. I kept it as the front page of my B-52 flight checklist for many years until I retired in '81. I still have it here somewhere. 'Can't remember it all, but it starts something like this: Das Komputenmachine ist nicht fer der dumkopf arbeiten und gefinger poken. Keepen das hands offen, und studieren das buch! And so it goes for several paragraphs.
