Re: [MBZ] Lower door trim on 124 sedan?
yeah, that's the part - it's the lower third as you described -- has a chrome trim strip along the top. I damaged one of the snap on connectors when I removed the panel to paint it. I found a small nickel size spot of rust on the read door and thought I could fix the spot and touch up the paint. Bzzt wrong. So I decided to try and paint the whole door match was terrible so I ended up painting the whole car! At least it came out pretty good... ;-) LarryT 78 240D 91 300D On 9/12/2013 10:30 AM, Alex Chamberlain wrote: On Wed, Sep 11, 2013 at 8:00 PM, Larry T wrote: Alex -- I need a lower panel for the rear drivers side door - I can paint it to match -- got one? If so, How Much? Larry, are you talking about the plastic cladding that covers the lower third of the door, below the beltline? If so I'm afraid I can't help you. That started on the '90 or '91 124. Cars before that, like my '86 300E parts car, have plain metal doors.
