I remembered this advice when I took one of the switches for our '93 E300D apart recently. It was very helpful to have it in the bag else I would have lost something. I always open them inside a ziploc bag. Keeps the little pieces (balls) from disappearing. -D > On Jul 30, 2020, at 5:12 PM, Scott Ritchey via Mercedes > wrote: > > Good job. Good job. Those switches are vulnerable to anything spilled on the console (traditionally, Germans don't eat in cars but Americans do). Plus there are decades of dust and corrosion. Switches are mechanically simple (EZ repair if plastic not brittle) but springs make assembly a bit tricky. -Original Message- From: Mercedes On Behalf Of Rdeafboy via Mercedes Sent: Thursday, July 30, 2020 11:38 AM To: mercedes@okiebenz.com Cc: Rdeafboy Subject: Re: [MBZ] Mercedes 123 Console Window Switches I took apart the window switches learning from Youtube ...Really easy to do and my switches are like new .
