Well, let us know what you drag home ... Only my sorry butt! The car was a private consignment, not a seizure or anything like that, so it was somebody trying to off their junk in a feeding frenzy environment. The car had many rust spots getting started, on the doors and the rear jack points. Couldn't get into the trunk. The seat springs were starting to feel odd. The blue dash was seriously cracked. Cigarette burns on the door panels. The engine was safe from rust as the whole passenger side was covered with black oil. Head gasket? The reservoir was quite dark looking. The tranny fluid looked and smelled normal, the only highlight. 230kmi. He (we) decided that it was too much of a project for what he was looking for, so we walked. It was bitterly cold, a bit below freezing but with quite a wind. Ugh. Wasn't worth braving the weather to see what it went for. If you ask me, it'll show up on Craigslist before too awful long. I did see a Mercury 50HP outboard of my vintage. Had it been an 85HP I would have stayed and bid on it.
