That's some good reasoning there Jeff, perhaps to put it all in perspective
you could get a map of England and a map of the USA in the same sacale and
then compare the two in regards to physical size. Let us know what you find
out.

. Maybe

it's because the scale is smaller here but it all seems close to me.

[MBZ] New Mercedes-McLaren F1 Team

2007-03-16 Thread Jeff Zedic

Speaking of the new team Chuck, we had a show on the other night all about
the team. Lots of behind the scenes footage of Lewis Hamilton moving up the
ranks from karting to GP2. He'll be interesting to watch!

Also footage of Fernando Alonso meeting the whole crew and some testing
footage in Valencia after their new car intro show spectacular!

BTW, I was at their headquarters a couple of weeks ago. They're only six
miles from me in Woking. Talk about an impressive place!! I only got as far
as the main car park as they were closed...it was Sunday. Could see their F1
trucks and the main building. I also suspect that there's a private test
track behind the dense foliage.

I'm also reasonably close to Silverstone circuit, as well as Brands Hatch.
Even more interesting is the fact that I'm VERY close to Brooklands! In
fact, it's mostly an industrial estate now but you can still see the
original banking! While visiting a friend in Scotland I found that he's only
six miles from Knock Hill racing circuit.

Close by as well is Feltham which is where Aston Martin was founded. Maybe
it's because the scale is smaller here but it all seems close to me.

The motoring industry is alive and well here! Still waiting to see my first
Ariel Ato on the road though.
