But I think the regular fuel requirement for the 380 at least offsets
any additional mpg for the premium required 560?

(This is what happens when 2 List members are trying to sell their MB's (grin))

Yeah, that could be fun.  The amazing thing about the 107 is
that you can actually get 20mpg in them, often anyway.  (The
newest ones that is.)  My '86 560 SL is much faster _and_ gets
better mileage than a friend's '85 380 SL.

I never got around to converting the 16v into a 190D sportline.
Maybe my 2.5 turbo would fit in a 107 instead. Would have
to do some engine mods to make the performance acceptable,
and of course, it would never get 40mpg.


Yeah, that could be fun.  The amazing thing about the 107 is
that you can actually get 20mpg in them, often anyway.  (The
newest ones that is.)  My '86 560 SL is much faster _and_ gets
better mileage than a friend's '85 380 SL.
