Sheik Zayyid of the UAE had 2 747s for the boys and a 757 for the women to ride in. He had a huge load of cars, including (I think) 18 Maybachs or some large number. He liked to go roaring around the desert in one of those Lambo 4wd things when he was younger. He had a coupla palaces, and his 4 wives each had one, and his own hospital. Did not do him a lot of good in the end. --R On 12/22/2012 12:52 PM, OK Don wrote: I think he was referring to the statement that buying, using, flaunting, such a plane makes. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Well, for one, just look at those militant Amish. [tongue firmly in cheek] Idealistically, the Prince is resident in the mother lode of militants who do such things. In fact [dig around you will find it] it is presented that he may have bankrolled several such groups through quiet donations [or not so quiet, in right circles]. It gives rise to the question, why would they kill one of their own. Grant... I wonder what it has in terms of defense mechanisms? One might think that there are folks out there who would love to shoot it out of the sky. That sort of statement tends to annoy people. With the kind of money this guy has, it's likely equipped with stealth of come kind. I worked a contract flying some of his relatives for a year based out of Saudi. I'm glad to see the new airplane has electronic self aiming prayer rugs. We used to have to alter course to fly east for all prayer times, then return to course. As the token infidel in charge, the muslim copilot would make sure we were properly on course then leave me to join the others in the back for the ritual head bang. Flight control would sometimes go nearly postal with the course deviation. What fun. Pay was good. Little else. Grant...
