Careful about that, seriously. My aged mother (82) has just been diagnosed
with diabetes. My first reaction was, "HUH?" as she hardly eats anything. I
often give her hell about her fridge being empty when I visit.

When she sat down with the diabetes counsellor and looked over the
prescribed diet it turns out to be about 2x ++ what she normally eats,
especially at b/fast. Actually, in the case of b/fast, it's about 3x what I
even eat.

The counsellor advised her she has probably developed diabetes from her
irregular eating habits, in particular only eating one full meal a day, at
dinnertime, and then snacking later at nite.

You are probably the same as me, eat little all day then once you do eat
(late, I often used to eat at 9 p.m.) you are hungry and eat too much OR eat
an unbalanced meal. My mom's diagnosis gave me a big wakeup call on that.
Still can't stomach breakfast but I've dialed way back on what I eat after 7
p.m.

I never heard of this and can't imagine why eating habits (as opposed
to WHAT one eats) can lead to diabetes.
