Hi guys. There's a Citi (bank) ad that shows a MB 190SL owned by a waitress and two guys talking about how to invest or sumpin' like that She chases the kid away from her car..Sorta' cute. And.. Does anybody believe the Lexus IS ad with the ball bearing rolling around, only to be caught by the driver when he flicks the wiper blade..??? C'mon!!! So the ad agency is batting .500 on those two... I've seen the commercial. What they don't say is that she bought the SL from Kaleb on eBay, drove it to work a few years ago to show it off to her co-workers, and the engine seized. Yep. Saw that commercial. Reminds me of the Caddilac commercial that shows four young studly business men riding around in a silver Caddy. They pull up to a diner and meet four distinguished gentlemen in a black colored one. They all look eachother up and down. And the announcer says something like welcome to gentlemenhood or something like that. The problem with this fantasy is that there are in fact two types of people that drive big Cadillacs, but the commercial has the types wrong.
