Re: [MBZ] OT: VW Passat
Once the problem was resolved and the light reset all should be good. If you didn't get the light after driving 30 miles you should be all set :) Harry 69 280 SEL 135,000 Miles 72 350SL 118,000 Miles 2004 VW Passat 4 Motion 1999 Mazda Miata -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: mercedes@okiebenz.com Sent: Wed, 17 Jan 2007 11:37 AM Subject: [MBZ] OT: VW Passat Thanks for everyones help, You guys rock. Turns out it was just a bad plug ( I hope ) . Check engine light was reset. Drove it about 30 miles at both high and slow speeds. My '95 Crown Vic has two coil packs, one on the front of each cylinder bank. Later models went to coil-on-plug. The theory is sound -- why run high voltage wire around when you can generate the high voltage on top of the plug itself? The problem is the coils are delicate compared to spark plug wire boots and are vulnerable to damage from ham-fisted removal, engine washing, etc.

most of the 98 through 2000 models had problems with the coil packs on the 1.8T engines. They fixed this on the 2001 1/2 and later cars. Re: [MBZ] OT: VW Passat
Its with the other fuzes, if yours is the same as mine it will be number 10. If you are unsure of the location of the fuze box its on the drivers side of the dashboard behind the plastic panel. Open the car door, look on the side of the dash and remove the cover. There should be a card inside the fuze cover in a slot that shows all the fuze locations. If you have the original owners manual it also shows all the fuze locations Harry 69 280 SEL 135,000 Miles 72 350SL 118,000 Miles 2004 VW Passat 4 Motion 1999 Mazda Miata -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: mercedes@okiebenz.com Sent: Mon, 1 Jan 2007 8:07 PM Subject: [MBZ] OT: VW Passat Does anyone know where the OBD 2 fuse is on a 2002 Passat?
