[MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty
What won't they think of next? Re: [MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty
I've got a great idea, I'll keep driving my Benz till it runs out of fuel and then tell the world how much of an idiot I am because I can't manage to organise fuel for my vehicle. Anyway it is hard to determine how far it would go after the light comes on bercause in all mine the yellow triangle likes to flicker for a while before deciding to stay on. I guess that is a design, sort of like a like a gentle tap on the shoulder that turns into a kick up the backside. So where would you start measuring from, the first flicker or when it stays on? - Original Message - From: "OK Don" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Mercedes Discussion List" Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 12:26 PM Subject: [MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty > What won't they think of next? Re: [MBZ] OT? - tank-on-empty
Why is this OT? Talking about the Benz low fuel warning system is not OT, is it? I am sure that a lot of the readers sleep a lot better now that they know their warning light is not the only one that flickers. - Original Message - From: "OK Don" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Mercedes Discussion List" Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 12:00 PM Subject: Re: [MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty > That's my take on it also --- > > On 7/17/07, Hendrik Riessen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> I've got a great idea, I'll keep driving my Benz till it runs out of fuel ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty
I think it is the same theory as the brake pad light. We should see how long it takes before the brakes fail after the light goes on. Bound to learn just how good the pads we purchased are. With a large enough sample we would be able to purchase the best pads for our new cars, since the old ones would be broken clay On Jul 17, 2007, at 6:25 PM, Hendrik Riessen wrote: > I've got a great idea, I'll keep driving my Benz till it runs out > of fuel > and then tell the world how much of an idiot I am because I can't > manage to > organise fuel for my vehicle. > Anyway it is hard to determine how far it would go after the light > comes on > bercause in all mine the yellow triangle likes to flicker for a > while before > deciding to stay on. > I guess that is a design, sort of like a like a gentle tap on the > shoulder > that turns into a kick up the backside. > So where would you start measuring from, the first flicker or when > it stays > on? > > - Original Message - > From: "OK Don" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Mercedes Discussion List" > Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 12:26 PM > Subject: [MBZ] OT - tank-on-empty > > >> What won't they think of next?
