I just looked up the filters to make sure the same ones would fit the GL450 and they still have the $6.89 price which is a coupla bucks less than the ones I bought in 22 and 21 that I will return. --FT On 3/6/23 4:23 PM, dan penoff.com via Mercedes wrote: Thanks to Floyd pointing out the sale I grabbed 8 of them as well. Speaking of filters and shipping, they had some sale last week and Mann filters were $6.89 which is a hell of a deal so I ordered 8 of them as many of my cars use the same filter HU7185X and that got me to free shipping. And these are the same type I am sending back too. I picked free shipping which usually takes 2-3 days, this time it took several which was fine as I had no big need for them yet. Anyway, the mail deliver person actually brought them down the driveway to porch on the mansion and left them there while I was out this morning. Re: [MBZ] OT - Delivery Fun
Lately I've been a little irritated with my VW parts supplier. They're only about an hour and a half drive away so stuff arrives the next day after they ship, but they seem to delay shipping for a couple days after ordering. It used to be if I ordered on Monday before lunch I'd have it Tuesday after lunch. Now if I order Monday before lunch it won't ship until Wednesday night or Thursday morning for delivery Friday. A couple weeks ago I ordered a wheel bearing on Saturday, they emailed me Tuesday afternoon that they didn't actually have the part (their website said they did) but they had a different brand. I should have just ordered the more expensive brand to begin with but I didn't get the part until Thursday... Not terrible, shipping is usually free or under $10, even with gallons of oil, but an irritant none the less. -Curt On Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:43:47 AM EST, OK Don via Mercedes wrote: You never know - sometimes I get Prime one day shipping, sometimes two, sometimes a week or more, depending on the source of the thing. I have been seeing that a lot lately. Sometimes really interferes with projects. Also, I guess there is no such thing as Amazon prime 2 day shipping anymore. We had a UPS package last week that came to OKC, then went to Ft. Worth, then back to OKC, then back to Ft. Worth, then to OKC, and finally on to Edmond, OK, then to us. It was 4 days late. We’ve had these exchanges before, I find them pretty humorous… Ordered a big (bulky) item from Amazon last week. See the tracking information below. So on the 27th of February it arrived at an Amazon facility in CA. From there it went to Davenport, FL, which is a very large distribution facility they have west of Orlando, and where a lot of things come through when they’re coming my way from out of state. From Davenport, FL, it went to Katy, TX. It has now left TX and I presume is on it’s way back to Florida. And yes, it’s scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I’m not holding my breath.
