Re: [MBZ] OT - Squared away
Thanks. 'Thought it was something to do with sailing. 'Heard my older brothers (Navy) use it a lot when I was a lttle fella. Another one I heard a lot was skivvies, (underwear?). Also deck, head, bulkhead, chow, grabass (pronounced gra BAHSS' in their later, more mellow years) and a bunch of other fine nautical terms I can't remember right now. Your older brothers raised you right -- but you had enough sense to select thermals over waves. On Thu, Jun 4, 2009 at 9:20 AM, WILTON wilt...@nc.rr.com wrote: Thanks. Re: [MBZ] OT - Squared away
Yep, that was a VERY deliberate decision. I was very lucky to have 5 significantly older brothers and a sister, all of whom would have done anything to help their baby brother. One of 'em even sent me to college though he wasn't able to himself. BTW, Wonko, 2 of my brothers made Navy chief in ~Feb '45; one stayed for 20 years, the other 24. One was a Boson and several times Chief of the Boat; other was Hospital Corpsman (X-Ray).
