RR was way smarter than Jimmay (#39) or #44 Vald runs circles around 44, but he sees vlad as his buddy in a stationary place. The B-70 was one of the sticks used to beat down the cold war Soviet economy. Build 2 prototypes, fly them around some, make the rooshans build lots of missiles and interceptors and radars and all that stuff. Reagan talking about "Star Wars" and missile interceptors got them pretty much beat to the ground. They finally realized they couldn't keep up. --R ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post. Remarkable times and events we of this era have lived through. The aircraft designers immediately post WW2, with only slide rules, brains and logic, created machines that have endured long past their own lives. The SR71 still holds flight records that have never been broken.. the B52 flies on, crewed often by men who were not even born when it was designed and built, and rebuilt, and rebuilt.. I wonder, what's next? Grant...
