I have a friend who is, but he won't discuss any phase of his specialty with 
anyone if legal proceedings are involved.
If you want general information type "e-coli infections in hip remplacement" 
in to Google and you'll turn up large amounts of info.  You can also click 
www.pubmed.gov  and sometimes find info on subjects other than research.

e coli is everywhere, can get everywhere, surgeries are particularly 
prone to infection from e coli.  There are various kinds too.  
Apparently not that unusual, just sort of a risk associated with such 
procedures.  This I learned as sort of a topic of conversation at dinner 
Tues night,, with a GI surgeon, a GI oncologist, and an oncology nurse 
until it was determined that dinner might be better enjoyed without 
specific details of the conditions associated therewith.  I thanked them.


I am not an orthopod, did not stay at Holiday Inn Express (though I did 
stay at a Super 8 Sunday night).
