Southwest Indiana. We have the sale the first weekend in May, but this year it's a week late. I personally usually plant tomato seeds directly into the garden, they ripen just a couple days later than large transplants since they won't grow until it warms up anyway. Oh I get it - you are selling plants rather than tomatoes. On Mon, May 9, 2011 at 7:46 PM, Peter Frederick psf...@earthlink.netwrote: Southwest Indiana. Re: [MBZ] Slow weekend
I got the Ranger to drag ass hauling wood yesterday, a friend is building a house and told me to take all I can haul. Yesterday 7 pieces of wood had the ass end of the truck about on the pavement. Then I put safety chains on the snowmobile trailer and gave it a coat of paint. Mowed the lawn with my 46 year old lawnmower which started on the 3rd pull after its long winter's rest. Having a fuel shutoff proved to be a good idea on that. Also built a new potato box and planted some butterfly mix flowers my wife had. After dinner I split 1/2 cord of wood with my hand operated mechanical wood splitter. My wife brought me out a coat its cold she says, I was pouring sweat... Today theres bread dough in the bread machine and then a birthday party to go to and not much else! -Curt Date: Sat, 7 May 2011 10:56:36 -0500 From: Dieselhead 126die...@gmail.com To: Mercedes Discussion List mercedes@okiebenz.com Subject: [MBZ] Slow weekend Message-ID: a0624080dc9eb1b9ba355@[192.168.1.51] Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii ; format=flowed Everybody must be working on yards/gardens or cars. I am off to work on a rental property. No dermaters, peppers or eggplans, but I do have scarlet runner beans and tomatillos getting ready for outdoor planting. Quelites are volunteering and walking onions and garlic chives are plotting a takeover of vacant garden areas. Fava beans have been direct seeded but thus far have not poked their heads above ground. We are in a severe drought and all outdoor watering has been banned. My herbaceous friends will be making it on greywater and the much-prayed-for rainfall this year.
