Hey all, I'd still like to find out what model the euro hitch I got
off ebay some time ago was originally intended for. Tried searching
the epc, which includes ECE passenger models, and the online euro
price/availability page for the one MB p/n on the thing, which is
listed on the detachable ball arm, 124 584 18 21, to no avail. Can't
find anything useful on the manufacturer, Oris Metallbau KG. It does
have the MB star on the ball arm and the ID plate on the crossmember
does list it as for a nonspecific MB application. All I can say for
sure is that the big crossmember that attaches to the underside of the
vehicle isn't a boltup fit for my 124.193. I may wind up having it
modified to fit but I'm currently pursuing other avenues that might
lead me to acquisiton of the correct assembly for my wagon. If I am
able to acquire the real deal, I'd want to pass this NOS relic on,
hoperfully to someone who has the model for which it was intended.
