You probably don't leave it parked, unattended very often. If you did, I'm
sure you'd find a note from me. ;-) Sounds like a great car, never part
with it, unless that is. lol

Glad that I did not get the '91 (add more electronics headaches). Vehicle

Took out to run during the nice weather.

PS. I did not see a note from you on my windshield!

I like some of the new Buicks, but when I heard the rear end on one of the
ones I like was designed in China, it put me off the car all together.

 I agree, a clean W126 sill turns heads. For me, a W126 with a 560 engine
 is
a pretty hard to beat package. I may not do some of the things a more
modern car can do, but it does everything I want from a car, very very
well. While I'm not actively searching for one, when I do come across a
really clean one, I always leave a note and my number on the windshield.

I forgot to add that I agree with you on the last point. The 140 and
newer S cars do not state here is a car with someone of substance
From a distance, they look like a C class. As you get closer, they
look like an E class. The 108, 116 and 126 all are head turners.
They don't look like just another rice burner. They never did. Nor
did they look like Detriot iron. And in those years, Detriot had
enough self esteem to not want their big cars to look like big
Mercedes.

Now the 600 was and is a real head turner. It says here is someone
of substance in a way few car before or after could do. It also
says, here is someone who has class.

I should add the 600 to the list of best looking cars.

You have a good list there, I would add a 66 GTO in dark blue. The
SS396 was particularly nice in that lighter blue color too, maybe
with a black vinyl top! My 71 Monte Carlo (first my car) was a
lighter blue with black vinyl top, I really liked that color
combination. I'll have to find a pic somewhere and scan it in.

I kinda like the styling on the previous S class (don't know the
chassis number) -- a bit edgy at the front but generally
understated, very elegant and powerful looking. I don't like the
current style, looks to boy-racerish for a big sedan.

Well GM is now owned by the US government, so you can draw your own
conclusions about where the idea that European would be better than
American came from.
