I'm beginning to think my flasher has a bad capacitor, but I'll need to have something working to go get a replacement capacitor. Thanks for letting us know that the emergency flashers are the turn signal flashers - we have super fast turn signal flashers. Can we expect emergency flashers to flash super fast like the turn signal flashers? I think the super fast turn signal flashers is due to a bulb burned out. Put on the emergency flashers and take a walk around the car to make sure everything is working as it should. The PDF Fred sent shows the flasher as a separate component with wires to the hazard switch, which is what my car has. Perhaps the StarTek site shows the wiring for an early 240D, while mine is a relatively late one.
