My "boss" is actually the guy who represents the company and who's signs my
contract. Today we were talking and he says, "Why don't you buy a new
Mercedes? Obviously you like the cars." My response (we've just negotiated
the next season's contract), "...Then I'd be like you, so deep in debt with
your leased car and adjustable rate mortgage that I'd have to agree to just
any number you threw at me as I would need the income. Instead I drive these
old Mercedes that are paid for and have the luxury of turning down a
contract if I don't like the terms. That is why I actually have the
advantage which could afford me a new car."
