I would rather they fix up and enjoy an old Mercedes even if they sort of "modernize" it than see it go to the junk yard because someone drove it into the ground and took no care of it at all because it was just an old car. Maybe someone can tell you the dimensions of the support blocks. If not, cut some wedges out of 2x4s and take along 2 jacks. Jack up one end, then stuff the blocks/wedges in, then do the same on the other end. If you take a battery and some gas, it might even start and drive on the trailer.
