HA, you said they didn't give you a boost in economy.
How many miles do you have on them? It'll be interesting to see how they last.

owner of a set of Goform 195-70-HR-14 all season ties for my 1983 300TD.
They have good traction in wet or fry conditions (especially dry!) and give
me another 25 percent boost in fuel economy.  What's not to like?

How much do you pay for mount/stem/balance?
Around here, Farm Bureau and Wal-Mart get $17-18 per tire, tire stores $20-25.

Re: [MBZ] goform tires

2015-12-19 Thread Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes
I purchased Kumho Sense and Goform tires for my 300TDs and have no
complaints whatsoever. OTOH, I don't drive 50K miles/year either, more
like 7.5k miles. For mounting Just Tires has good coupon deals
occasionally, around $12 per tire IIRC.

My last tire problem was in 1971; none since buying my first Michelin then;
10+ cars/vans and well over a million miles since. Uh-oh! 'Hope I didn't
just jinx it. Part of the value of a car & tires is feeling comfortably
safe, especially while at 75+ mph cruise.

If you had been paying attention you would know that I am the happy, proud
owner of a set of Goform 195-70-HR-14 all season ties for my 1983 300TD.
They have good traction in wet or fry conditions (especially dry!) and give
me another 25 percent boost in fuel economy. What's not to like?

Contipro Contact grand touring tires are only 400AA A, but I guess the AA
traction is pretty good for a low rolling resistance tire.

I was just curious about these Goform tires on tire-easy.com. They must
be really crappy tires as they only have a 320AA tire quality rating.
This site has Westlake tires that are cheaper and have a 500 rating, if
a person was going for super cheap tires.
