Anybody remember Green Oasis Environmental in So. Carolina?  They had a Rube
Goldberg-esque driveable retort that would turn used crankcase oil into
diesel fuel.  Their stock went from pennies to the $5.00 before trading was
halted as a result of an SEC investigation.

I had one high volume chinese buffet place here where I could take all i 
want..but quickly decided I didn't want it. They fry stuff with too much 
sugar in it Jammed up the filters too fast.

fellow, I must question your devoting brain cycles to dreaming up
plots involving Luther meeting the girl of his dreams. Certainly, you
would be better off dreaming up plots to give a MB diesel to him, or
to me, or another to yourself. At least that would hold some Benz
related info. (Him driving a Benz in your dream to this fictional
McDonald's does not count.)

Knew a guy back in the "Old Guard" (meaning mid '70s Coast Guard) who burne=

nothing but JP-4 in iis old diesel Benz, and this was an "old" diesel Benz
in 1976. God only knows the year that car was.

But it ran just fine.

What would that have been, a 220D? Or what as even older?

No, BodhiBenz1987 on Mercedesshop. She turned 24 back in December, so I got the
age wrong. Owns a white/palomino W124/OM603, and a maple W115 240D.
She has as many Benzs as I had Saabs when I was her age. Probably too good for
Luther, anyway.

Speaking of Kaia? Wait, that's Mercedessource. She SOUNDS cute, but  NEVER go 
by that! Although, she is VERY helpful. I love those simpleton  books they put 
out - as if they are written just for me. I think I own  5 of them and dying to 
get the buyers guide - their biggest one yet -  not out yet.

I'd hate to run those numbers here, most of ours would stink.  But for
absolute lowest cost per mile there's nothing like a Frankenheap, one
of two cars we have at the other end of the spectrum. Cheap?  Yes.
Trouble-free?  No, not exactly.  Beautiful?  Ha!  But cheap, did I
mention cheap?

The thing is, to get stellar numbers you can't put money in for
anything that's not necessary, and for those things that are you
look hard at used parts.  And the cosmetics go to hell.  (Or stay
there!)

It's not what everybody wants, to be sure, and it's not even what
_I_ want a good portion of the time.  But in slushmobile season...
