Here's the info on one I chose randomly:

http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-reviews/Chrysler/Grand+Voyager+%282001-%29/1373/

Here's all the variations available here:

http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-specifications/Chrysler/Grand+Voyager+%282001-%29/

And that's the Chrysler model not the Dodge...they list that also

good info. i've never been in a vito. Last time I was in Germany
was 03, so I was not aware of the new model. I have seen the Vitos
around in Europe, and I always thought it was a good alternative to
the dodge caravan.

Loren,

The Vito is not that greatclick on the link

http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-reviews/Mercedes/V+Class+%281996-03%29/140/

This is a better choice than a Vito...the Viano

http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-reviews/Mercedes/Viano+%282004-%29/1208/

As for diesel MPVs, almost every Dodge Caravan I see here, why they have
them is beyond me, is a diesel with a manual trans. Most Land Rovers are a
2.5 TDI alsoas is my new car...an Audi A4 1.9 TDI manual trans.

They sell them all over the rest of the world. I never found out
what engine they used though. I saw a pretty good number in Germany,
last trip.

Blehk (gag)boring

I'd rather drive a 20 yr old MB than a new honda. The liberty was
interesting, if they had only used an OM616, or at least a 601/602

My first encounter with a honda (cvcc) was when I was plowing snow
long ago, and the female owner was too arrogant to move it out of the
lot so i could clear the snow. sure 'nuff, i bumped it with the ball
on the bronco trying to maneuver around it. Punched a nice little
hole right though the tinfoil.

Last I heard, Honda will be selling the cheapest diesel SUV shortly
(now that the Jeep Liberty with the Italian motor has been
discontinued)---they're supposed to have diesel Ridgelines and Pilots
on the lot next year for $30K or so.

From: Loren Faeth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

About a year ago, there was big talk about several dodge models being
available in the 07 year with the bluetec MB engine.
Our of curiosity, i stopped at the 'friendly' not-so-local dodge
dealer last week to inquire about dodge Diesels (not in
pickups). After some searching, they told me that only the grand
cherokee was available with the bluetec. And only in the most
expensive model. The price? over $48,000 I guess the shareholder
revolt has put a damper on allowing MB Diesels in Dog products.

Coincidentally, I just read an article at lunch today about the Grand
Cherokee CRD and I quote:

"Remember, the diesel Grand C, while running on a Mercedes-supplied
3.0-litre turbo diesel engine, delivers fuel economy benefits, but
it's not as clean as Mercedes' latest diesels, the Bluetecs. That
superclean DCX diesel technology is able to meet the most stringent
emissions standards in the world; the diesel in the '07 Grand C is no
Bluetec, so it does not. That said, the Grand C Diesel is very
fuel-efficient, and because of this it cuts C02 emissions by 20 per
cent."

This is how I understood it beforehand as well. Perhaps your dealer,
as many are, did not have the correct info? The article also states
that the diesel engine is indeed only available in the more expensive
trim packages, not the base model. Pity.

There's a companion article to it in the same paper:

http://www.globeauto.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20070509.wh-cherokeereview-0510/GAStory/specialGlobeAuto

As far as trucks go, I'd love to have a Chevy Avalanche, but it's a
shame they don't put their diesel Duramax engine in it. Only in the
standard pickup. Pity. Oh it's available with E85? There's one pump in
Canada as I recall, and it ain't in my city. Besides, with the bad
press E85 is getting as of late, I'm even more enamored with
diesel/biodiesel.
