[MBZ] two S-class questions

1)  How is the Euro version of the 1983 380SE?  I know the US version was
darn near crippled.  But I vaguely recall the Euro versions being sweet.

2)  On an 87 300SE, can anyone think of a simple reason why it would run for
about 1/2 an hour, then shut off?

1. I think the euros had high compression motors while the US and Oz did 
not.
2. Could be all sorts of dramas but fuel pump relay getting hot could be one 
or in tank fuel strainer blocking could be another.

My money is on the fuel pumps or filter as well.  There is a  
possibility that the coil is going open, too -- it would get very hot  
if this is the case.
