You are right-confusing as Pierce fire engines and Pierce Arrow cars were
separate but Seagrave used Pierce Arrow engines. I drove a 1989 Pierce fire
engine with a Detroit diesel.

Seagrave bought the Pierce Arrow engine dies when Pierce closed in 1938. 
That’s basically a Pierce-Arrow V-12 in that beauty at no reserve. A few 
more engine photos might be helpful to P-A parts scavengers.
