Re: [MBZ] 126 Heater Question
One the W124 there is an external link to the left side flap, and a link between the two. It has a plastic swivel on it that breaks. I drilled a hole through the two parts and looped a wire through, works fine on the TE. I'm not sure what the exact arrangement on the W126 is, but I'd suspect something similar. Make sure the servo lever is actually moving the flap or lever to the flap first, they usually have a plastic pin to make the connection and they get brittle with age. Re: [MBZ] 126 Heater Question
The vacuum servo works OK. As Jim mentioned, the linkages are inop. But what do the linkages look like and how does one get to them? Re: [MBZ] 126 Heater Question
Question: Can anyone give me a clue what is supposed to control these flaps and what it takes to gain access to it? Speaking generally, and I don't know if this applies to the 126, the flaps are hooked together with a linkage to a single pod. In some cars this stuff can be reached from below after you remove the console, the dash can be left in place. The bottom of the heater box detaches from the rest. But I don't know for sure. -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
