Re: [MBZ] 1964 220SE 4-speed
If the car is original and in good condition $40k-$50k would not be unrealistic. I didn’t look that closely at it, but if it has been repainted and not a “correct” MB color for the vintage, that would take away from the value. That being said, restorable parts cars like this that are drivable are bringing in the teens on a good day. Beaters in the 20s. I suspect the ask is not being shown because he’s afraid it will put people off. -D > On Jul 6, 2021, at 1:20 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes > wrote: > > On Tue, Jul 6, 2021, at 12:02 PM, G Mann via Mercedes wrote: >> Anyone have sales prices for this model over the past 5 years? Re: [MBZ] 1964 220SE 4-speed
tJust from the pictures, it has the look of a fresh repaint, which would mean base coat / clear coat, instead of single stage original paint. It does not have the look of original paint that has been well cared for by multiple repolishes and buffing over years of ownership. That, coupled with the look [again, only by the pictures] of the interior seat cover condition, I'm seeing a mismatch. I'm calling it a presale lipstick job and that suggests to me a very complete in person pre-buy inspection, with a lift, and a MB certified mechanic would be wise. Anyone have sales prices for this model over the past 5 years? More than $1, I wager. Is that red an original colour? Looks like some of the late model F150's that are a bright lipstick red.
