E320 sedan 2wd was getting 28mpg or so. A 4matic wagon would be 22-23. Solid car, very reliable, some of the niggling issues will pop up now s as bf then. Roomy, comfortable, competent. The biggest issue with these cars is rust. Probably not an issue on a car from the South.
