Curt,

Not too bad of a job. I've done it twice on SWMBO's 240 and once on my 240.
Reason doing hers twice is I used a McParts W/P the first time it lasted
2 years
before it started to puke H2O from the bearing, Stealership and My Indy
didn't
have one in stock and Wifey needed the car the next day.
Both cars now have a Gerba pump in them now 21/2 years on wifeys and 4
years on mine.

You don't have to remove the radiator.
Un-clip the shroud slide it towards the block. 13MM geared box wrench to
remove the 4
bolts that hold the fan to the shaft. Mark the spacer so you put it back
on the right
way. If you reverse it the fan will bolt up but be cock-eyed. 5 10MM??
bolts.
Order a gasket when you order the pump.

Have Fun

Well met. I was just comparing the price on that to RockAuto (I have a new
customer discount with them through the end of the year) though considering the
closeness in price and Rock Auto having a shipping delay I'll probably be
giving you a shout tomorrow.

I'm an on-line seller and can tell you that most of my larger items are
marked up by category / percent. I'd expect Rusty's model is similar.
And in this case, a cheaper part = less margin.

I'll stick with my "honest on-line seller" theory.

Anthony,

You want a pump with a cast iron impeller, not the stamped steel one! For
sure confirm that!

Be sure to see if your old pump has any core value. the factory pump cores
with the "star' stamped on them are worth nearly as much as new after market
pump

I would suggest you ask Rusty. Either send him an email today or use
Instant Messaging on Monday - he'll be happy to help - just ask if he knows
which lasts the longest. Likely they are comparable and the price is the
only difference.

Don't forget to buy a new gasket - they don't typically come with the pump.
