Folks

I left Athens, GA thursday evening, dragging a 1000 lb letterpress
printing press on a trailer behind my 82 300td. I drove to Tybee
Island, spent the night then drove to St. Augstine where i delivered
the machine. THen i turned around and drove directly back to Athens.
This was about 850 miles, all driven on WVO that i was hauling. Speed
was mostly indicated 60 to 70 mph with the AC blowing cold cold most
all the trip. I didn't even use any oil. The car performed flawlessly
as it should!

It's CRAZY how many deer there are on the back roads of Georgia in the
middle of the night between folkston, ga and athens, ga. I probably saw
15 but there were probably another 30 that i didn't see! THe grass was
tall enough to hide a deer on the shoulders of the road after the
recent rains. After about midnight, i was often the only vehicle for
miles going in either direction. Other than a few trucks, i saw almost
no one for long stretches of time.

thanks,

xx rick

Most of the deer strikes here (NC piedmont) seem to happen in the fall. We
live on a country road (50 mph+) and occasionally find a dead deer in the
front yard. I never actually weighed one but I do use the loader on the
tractor to carry them deep into the woods. Personally, I use those deer
whistles on my highway cars. Go ahead and laugh but I've never hit a deer.

The only plus you have about Georgia deer is, they are not corn fed 200+
pounders like we have up here in the north. They can do alot of damge if
you hit one driving... I know from experiance...

You do too! Isn't there a 124 wagon in your back forty?

They sort of do. There's a "heater control valve," opened and closed
variably by a PWM signal from the PBU, if I am not totally confused.

Could that also be the case with a 124 with the same symptoms?

Do 124's have monovalves? I don't own one. I know 201's don't
have them. They, and late 126's don't have an override on the
MIN/MAX detents, the brain is in charge at all times.
