It's a two way pump (but the pump is in the trunk.). Find one of the lines under the carpet and apply pressure or vaccum until the locks cycle open and the trunk will be unlocked. Replace the pump, it's probably defective and operating when it's not supposed to. Also check for loose wires or a bad switch in one of the doors. I will check under the carpets for vacuum lines, I knew on the old cars they ran under there and you could tap into them but I had never looked at a 126 before for that.
