I am looking for the conversion fittings for a 1984 300CD air conditioning system that was originally R12 but converted to R134a. The system was converted and filled with R134a but the garage did not put the conversion fittings on the vehicle. They filled the system by using a set of R12 valves/hoses. I now want to have the system checked and refilled but cannot locate the fittings required to allow the R134a connections to connect to the vehicle's A/C system. Can anyone provide me with a supplier where I can acquire these fittings?? This was done on my vehicle in 2007 and has worked fine since then, but now my A/C is not putting out the cold air originally obtained. Can anyone help. Who was it bodged up a fill system for propane or camp gas (which has butane?)? I just converted to Industrial ES-12 and love it! It was 97 degrees in NYC on Tuesday, and I was getting 46 degree air. I had replaced compressor, drier, and expansion valve after a complete flush. I got some at Walmart. They seem to have red threadlock on them, which if I understand means that once screwed on you're screwed if you ever want to remove them.
