Re: [MBZ] A Short New England Trip
I’ve flown in to Portland Jetport a couple of time. I remember it being nice and easy. I reckon I need to make some kind of loose itinerary. We don’t necessarily want to see/do touristy things, but we do want to “leaf peep” if Mother Nature complies, do coastal Maine, do a non-Maine beach, and whatever else will give Mrs. Bob a good taste of New England. She informed me today Manchester was rated as 24th best place to retire by some website, right behind Ann Arbor , MI. A neighbor mentioned an eight day bus tour they went one right before Covid. Started in Boston and spent eight days wandering around CT, VT, ME, CT and they said it was awesome (full disclosure, they are much less adventurous and active than we two are). Mrs. Bob is getting slightly excited about this trip. She has adamantly maintained we need to take trips to places that are on our list of potential places to live in retirement to check them out because she is really serious about moving out of the Hubs of Hell when our elder care days are o’er.
