That's my recollection as well, inadequate worksmanship in wiring the stuff. 
And IIRC the victims' answer to that is "Tesla picked the installers".

 Actually Tesla has sold some panels that have caught fire. I'm 99% certain 
thats an install issue, there is no good reason for panels to catch fire.
The other possibility is that the panels have built-in inverters. Inverters 
occasionally catch fire, panels themselves never catch fire.
I don't remember when we installed our first panel, 2015? 2016? Something like 
that...

correctly.  Pepboys includes free installation with free red/green corrosion 
preventives.  And sorry Kaleb, I haven't been to a WalMart since they started 
putting American workers out of work with Chinese goods.  If you see me go in 
one, call the guys in the white coats as I've gone crazy.  But to each his own.
