Re: [MBZ] Contest- who has more MBs?
Nice place, my dad lives near there. I used to go to Kentucky Lake before Lake Barkley was created, and remember all the changes that went on when they made the lake -- flooding old towns and whatnot. One incident I clearly remember -- my dad and I went fishing with my uncle in his boat on Lake Barkley not long after it was flooded (fishing was really good). We got out really early, it was quite foggy when we left. He knew where he wanted to go, we were going along pretty fast, when all the sudden my dad yelled STOP So he did, and we were in the middle of a flooded graveyard, all the headstones sticking up around us, we finally picked our way through them and out, and got on our way. It was kinda creepy but quite an adventure for me, being young. In the park there are a lot of old iron smelters, if you can find them back in the woods there is a lot of really pretty colored slag chunks around, like glass. I used to have quite a collection, not sure what happened to it. MY granddaddy grew up all around there, he used to know where they were and take me and my cousins there on rambles. --R On 7/20/2010 12:40 PM, Donald Snook wrote: Kaleb wrote: Yea, Im thinking about getting rid of the junkers and buying one nice car.
