My Polei might be a good candidate for OM603.  Runs and drives with a very 
strong engine and transmission.  Transmission shop who did the adjustment was 
surprised by her response.  Something about a Raped Ape at highway speeds.

I’m not really sure what the deal was with this car. The oil was way too high 
in the dipstick, like half way up it. Coolant looked dirty but no oil in. It 
has a salvage title. With auction fees car was close to $1300. That seems 
pretty steep for a salvage title car that has unknown mechanical issues or if 
it even runs.

interesting!  Now that I have an engine from the SDL to use, all the 
350SDL rodbenders with bent rods have dried up.   A 124 300D with a bad 
engine would be a good candidate too.   Maybe in a  year I might have 
time to do an engine swap.   Too many projects ahead of it now.

that area.  Or if SWMBO or kid needs a car to wreck/burn.
