I pump it into a 55 gallon drum that I carry in the back of the truck - no, it's the same price. On Fri, Dec 18, 2015 at 1:08 PM, Kaleb C. Re: [MBZ] Genny, again
Nope, it's non-ethanol regular unleaded 87 octane pump gas. The Cessna loves it - no lead to foul the spark plugs and sludge the oil, unlike avgas (and half the cost). Re: [MBZ] Genny, again
Is that AVGAS? AFAIK AVGAS doesn't have ethanol while most MOGAS does. I put 1oz of Seafoam gas additive per gallon of gas into every can of gas I buy. Additionally equipment thats going to sit (like the snowblower over the summer) gets 1oz per gallon during storage. Since I've started doing that my problems with bad gas have gone way down.I did have to clean a carb and rebuild a fuel pump this fall for a snowmobile but its the one I bought last spring so it could have already been in trouble when I got it and in fact looking back it had a stumble I couldn't really account for... The shutoff is suspenders and belt. My lawnmower has a shutoff and I run it out every time I shut it down. It starts fantastically well, like second or third pull every time I start it. If Angie is going to start the lawnmower the choke will inevitably stick on and it won't start. She'll call me (in the Philippines for instance) and I'll explain that the choke sticks sometimes and all you have to do is tug on the little rod next to the carb and it'll come loose. She'll claim she's done that and it still won't start. I'll get home, pull the choke open and it'll start in a big cloud of smoke from all the gas in the exhaust... -Curt From: OK Don To: Curt Raymond ; Mercedes Discussion List Sent: Friday, December 18, 2015 1:40 PM Subject: Re: [MBZ] Genny, again I put Stabil in all the gas I buy that doesn't go directly into the truck - haven't had a problem with stale gas since. The power went out again. This time, the rope-pull fired right up. The new addition, the load-balancing transformer, is working nicely. Poured in the last 5 gallon jerry can before firing it up.
