Correction, Mercedes never made a 3 liter turbodiesel automobile with a 
manual 4 or 5 speed transmission. There was a 602.96 2.5 liter (in a 201 
chassis I think) available in Europe for a couple of years in the early 
'90s available with your choice of a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission or 
an automatic. It was NEVER available in the US.

All the euro 123 series 300D sedans were non-turbo (wagons were 
available with or without turbos) while all the in the US 123 300D 
sedans after '81 were turbo!

Look at the VIN:

WDB1231301A083109

   WDB = Mercedes

   123 = 123 series

   130 = W123 sedan with 617.912 naturally aspirated engine

1A = 5-speed manual tranmission

083109 = particular car's serial number

All the euro 123 series 300D sedans were non-turbo (wagons were

Look at the intake. It's a non-turbo, no turbo hiding under there.

He says it's a six cylinder in the eBay notes, too. Another dealer who types
faster than he thinks.
