Change the fluid before changing the pump. If the fluid is gray, you will need to change pump and flush the steering box though. Good point. The fliud looks good, and doesn't smell burnt, but I'll change it anyway. I wonder if it has a filter -- might have to find a book, there must be a trip to the library in my future.
