I figured $2800 was cheap for a rust free extended cab early PowerStroke, but then I noticed the bed was not rust-free. Thats pretty low miles for a diesel. My Dodge Dakota gasser had 222,000 miles when I got rid of it. Some kids a town over got it and drove it a couple more years. 200,000 is not a mileage to be scared of anymore... -Curt From: Donald Snook via Mercedes To: Kaleb C. Re: [MBZ] OT but diesel content
Check out the price of a new one and you will understand. Also be aware of the repair and maintenance costs. Lots of oil with every change. Expensive fuel and oil filters. Cab removal required to change headgaskets so a blown gasket can cost lots of $$$. RB On 13/09/2016 10:01 AM, Donald Snook via Mercedes wrote: Really? Even with that many miles? A F250 should be able to tow at least 3 tons. That ad is remarkably lacking in information. Ford did not sell a 7.5 L diesel, so far as I know. Is it a 4WD? How long is the bed? Does it have any cup holders? It appears to have a full floating rear axle. (that's good). There's a '93 crew cab, long bed, SRW, 1-ton, manual transmission, 7.3 IDI turbo (NOT powerstroke) for sale just down the road for about the same price. If it were 4WD, it would be just what I want as a farm pickup. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
