It's been about a month since I switched to Mobil 1. Thought I'd put out
an
update. I've seen almost no oil consumption, and he doesn't seem to be
marking his territory near as much as before. I did a valve adjustment
today and was amazed at how much less leakage there was out the oil filler
cap.
In addition to that, my grass is greener than I've ever seen it, my roses
are blooming constantly, and my wife says I look like I've lost
weight...GRIN
On another subject, with the advent of Father's Day and the acquisition of
a
new Craftsman Shop Vac, I'm about to assemble the mother of all oil
suckers.
My 22 year old Craftsman Shop Vac bit the dust about the time I switched to
M1 (got it to run again, but it was spitting out pieces of black plastic).
I'm going to use the old shop vac carcass as the oil collection receptacle,
connect the old vacuum hose to the new Shop Vac and run a 1/2 hose fitting
off of the top of the old Shop Vac as the suction line. Pix to follow.
