Just to clarify, I've had my wholesale account with Mercedes Benz of Tampa for nearly 20 years. I've always gone to them over the years when they were competitive. The really nice thing is that they empower their employees to do whatever is necessary to get the business when possible. For example, I called earlier this week about MB ATF. They told me wholesale was around $14/liter, but they looked on the Internet and saw others were selling it for less, so they gave me the lower price. How many dealers do that? I have used Rock Auto for a number of hard parts over the last year or so and been very pleased with them. Last one was a rebuilt front caliper for the 98 S420 Tommymobile. The price was good and the core return process quite simple. I also like their close out setup with the RSS feeds. I get a heads up on anything they're closing out for specific vehicles. I've scored some good deals this way several times. The only issue I have had with them was buying some close out NOS shocks that were listed as Bilstein and ended up being Meyle. I called, talked to a an English speaking support person in Madison, WI, who promptly issued credit and sent a prepaid call tag to return them. I noticed they changed the part description a few days later. In fairness to them, the sticker on the boxes said, "Replacement for Bilstein ".
