Yeah it could be problematic to drive easily.  Plus looks like hood pad 
on the top engine cover?  That is probably a $5k car at most as it sits 
but who knows.  I would love a CL600 but this one does not do it for me.

CLK320's here in the U.S. in a 7x16. No 15" wheels came on any CLK's in the

The 3.2 V-6 model came with the base wheels in this market. I can't find a 
photo of them. But, the wheels on the CLK 430 and CLK 55 AMG were more 
suited to the car but used 17" tires, natch. And unfortunately, Continental 
tires.

The first version CLK introduced in '99 used two OE wheels, those you like 
on the base V-6 and 17" staggered AMG's on the CLK 430. None were 15". My 
friend JB bought a red 430 new in '99 and is still driving it at 100K miles+ 
with no problems so far.

If there was another wheel it was never seen in this market.

Yup.  When I bought my Euro SLC the DPO had put aftermarket imitation
pancakes with the right offset for a W124 on it, with fat spacers.
The lug bolts were just barely hanging on to the threads in the hubs.

But still, extraordinarily stupid on a W116.
What's the offset on those, maybe ET51?
If so, you'd need an inch of spacer to make it work on a W116.
Either narrowing the track by 2" or putting 1" spacers on all four wheels would 
be highly undesirable.
