They aren't blending it. This is a pure synthetic, they have other syn-blend

I agree - all I see is a synthetic blend along with the same claims that
every other oil distributor is making. A blend of synthetic and what

If all of the mine's better than theirs claims that all of the oil
distributors are making were all true then you could pour some on your
breakfast cereal, eat the stuff every morning live 1000 years!

Re: [MBZ] purchasing synthetic diesel oil

2008-04-09 Thread LWB250
They're probably buying Mobil's base stock and then
packaging it themselves or adding some of their own
additives. Sort of like brand labeling, like
detergent or toilet tissue.

Re: [MBZ] purchasing synthetic diesel oil

2008-04-09 Thread Tom Hargrave
So, if these guys are buying Mobil 1 base stock, blending it with other
oil and you trust Mobil 1 products then why take a chance on this other
stuff?

Particularly since - to be ASE certified, it has to be 100% compatible with
everything else on the market which also means that they all have the same
additive package with a few tweaks?

In other words, the only real difference is the base stock which brings me
back to my original question

At least if you run Rotello-T or Dello, you know that you are running 100%
Dino oil and you are paying less accordingly. With a blend, are you buying
80% Mobil 1 base stock or is it 60%? Or maybe its 20% Mobil 1 base stock?

Thanks,
Tom Hargrave
