Mersenne: Primenet Error 2252
Greetings: I have recently installed prime95 and I am getting: Primenet Error 2252 I have reviewed the FAQs without finding a relevant error code. I found a single previous post that cited the error but there was no fix noted. It appears to be a network issue, however I have the firewall set to allow all traffic out from the relevant source ip address and on a packet capture the traffic looks normal but no responses are received. Mersenne: primenet error
I think all my PCs are once again full of work. I was out of town Fri. Sat. and I did see the error reaching primenet on Wed. Thur. It is not on all the logs so some PCs were impacted and some not. Mersenne: PrimeNet error 1 running mprime under Linux
I just set up mprime to run on a Linux (Stampede) box with a Pentium 200 cpu. Every time mprime tries to contact IPS, it receives "PrimeNet error 1". The internet connection runs through a proxy server running on a WinNT machine with a dialup modem. I can switch the network cable from the Linux machine to a Win95 machine which has the same proxy assignment in the primenet.ini file and the Win95 machine has no trouble communicating with IPS. Mersenne: Primenet error 12031 ??
What is a 'Primenet error 12031'? I get it when attempting to contact the PrimeNet Server after dialing into my ISP. The error msg says to see the FAQ but it doesn't list this error message. The error doesn't happen all the time but I have seen it more than once. cheers...
