Gareth Hughes ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) has been working on a GLU 1.2 polygon tessellator and I just recently had someone express interest in implementing GLU 1.2 NURBS. I'll ask them to join the dev list. The GLU code is long overdue for an upgrade. I'd love to see Mesa's GLU get upgraded to at least the 1.2 spec, if not 1.3. -Brian -- Brian PaulAvid Technology / Softimage [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Mesa-dev maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.mesa3d.org/mailman/listinfo/mesa-dev

I've rewritten the polygon tessellator to be compliant with the GLU 1.3 spec, including all winding rule support. I'm pretty much done, just need to test it some more. Things have stalled while I upgrade my machine - this has been more difficult than I thought :-) -- Gareth ___ Mesa-dev maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.mesa3d.org/mailman/listinfo/mesa-dev

As per my previous email, I'm doing some final testing of the code - in particular the winding rules/booleand operations. I plan on merging my changes pretty soon. In the mean time, does anyone have a particularly nasty polygon that I could test with? For instance, I'm getting a polygon-based map of Nth America which breaks SGI's GLU tessellator :-) When I've merged the code, I'd appreciate any testing/feedback etc. -- Gareth == Gareth Hughesmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Lucent Technologies ph: +61 2 9352 8608 Bell Labs Australia mob: 0414 831 018 ___ Mesa-dev maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.mesa3d.org/mailman/listinfo/mesa-dev
Re: [Mesa-dev] GLU 1.3 tessellation is now in CVS
Okay, I'm back online again and will be updating the code as required. Thanks for the patience with the initial upload. -- Gareth ___ Mesa-dev maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.mesa3d.org/mailman/listinfo/mesa-dev
